This module develops a comprehensive understanding of communication as a core entrepreneurial skill. It begins by helping founders clarify their ideas to themselves, then communicate with advisors, and prepare for external investors. You wil learn how to craft a compelling pitch deck, write concise introductory materials like a 5-liner and 1-pager, and develop a forward-looking product vision. These tools equip them to approach different investor types—from angels to VCs—with professionalism and strategic intent.

The module then shifts to communicating with product customers. It offers a framework for marketing communication planning by addressing brand identity, goals, and customer segmentation. Special attention is given to the difference between early adopters and mainstream customers, and how marketing tools (SEO, paid ads, email, social media) should be aligned to each phase of the marketing funnel. The importance of tracking metrics, optimizing the funnel, and budgeting effectively is emphasized throughout.

Finally, the module closes with a testimonial by Joseph Ciccone, who shares real-world examples from clean tech projects. His stories demonstrate how effective communication helps build trust, resolve conflicts, and deliver clear, persuasive messages.
